About Lea Doise:
Lea Doise grew up in Central Virginia. She loves being in nature and this love for nature is what inspires her to paint. She learned to paint at an early age by painting alongside her grandmother, who painted mostly in watercolor. Although Lea never attended a formal art school, she has painted most of her life, has attended numerous painting workshops, classes, and online tutorials. She completed a formal mentorship with Lori Putnam in 2022.

Her work has been juried into numerous shows. Lea really enjoys plein air painting and recently won an award of excellence at the national Oil Painters of America wet paint competition in Charleston, SC.
